Clare is an active citizen, devoting her creativity, energy, and occasionally her personal liberty, to fight against climate and environmental collapse.
As one of the co-founders of Extinction Rebellion, Clare has many years of experience using her voice to inspire and motivate people to take action. Described by a BBC journalist as a ‘samurai sword of truth,’ Clare is not afraid to go up against heavy hitters in the mainstream media and finds herself at ease talking to those who might disagree with her. As a leading voice in the social change space, Clare is not afraid to stand up for what’s right. Whether it’s discussing climate science, protest law, worker’s justice or fashion sustainability, Clare is certain to give any journalist a run for their money.
Clare has many years of experience going head to head with the mainstream media, with appearances on Newsnight, Good Morning Britain, BBC Today and LBC’s Andrew Marr programme. She has also given numerous keynote speeches, including at the Oxford Union. You can find some of her best bits below.
