As one of the co-founders of Extinction Rebellion, Clare has many years of experience using her voice to inspire and motivate people to take action. Described by a BBC journalist as a ‘samurai sword of truth,’ Clare is not afraid to go up against heavy hitters in the mainstream media and finds herself at ease talking to those who might disagree with her. As a leading voice in the social change space, Clare is not afraid to stand up for what’s right. In 2019, Extinction Rebellion made history with their protests in Central London, bringing thousands onto the streets across 11 days of occupation. Clare went on BBC News to talk about why the protests were crucial to raise the alarm about the grave threat we all face from climate breakdown.

Oxford Union debate:

Clare Farrell was invited to the Oxford Union in 2020 to argue why we must have courage, not hope, to truly face up to the realities of the current trajectory of climate change and take the necessary action to avert disaster.
